AMANDA PREWITT

Amanda Prewitt

Amanda Prewitt is the Research Assistant for the American Public Education Foundation. Along with her work with APEF, Amanda also works as the Program Coordinator for Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Center for Access to increase the retention, academic success, and career readiness of students with disabilities.

 

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Spelman College and her Master of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. Currently, Amanda is pursuing her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Memphis.

 

She has spent the last five years working with youth in both clinical and educational settings. Amanda is a licensed professional school counselor and a national board-certified counselor. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, playing tennis, and relaxing.
